On Tuesday, Liverpool made a huge, blockbuster move to try and prise Isak away from St James' Park, making an approach to Newcastle with a fee of around £120m being discussed. GIVEMESPORT sources previously reported that the Reds were considering making a player to secure Isak's signature and were willing to pay a British record fee to sign him this summer.
Liverpool are in the market for a striker in the summer transfer window, with Darwin Nunez failing to live up to expectations. The signing of Isak would complete their squad after an impressive window already, but it's certainly not going to be easy to convince Newcastle to part ways.

Romano has also confirmed, reporting for GIVEMESPORT, that Liverpool could make a move to sign Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike if they fail to bring in Isak. This adds more heat to the story, with Newcastle also interested in signing Ekitike, meaning the Reds could try and hijack their move.
If Isak does join Liverpool this summer, it will undoubtedly be the biggest move in the Premier League, and it will be a disaster for the Magpies to lose their talisman in attack.
