Spanish giants Barcelona are yet to make a official move for Marcus Rashford. This comes despite their interest in the player.
Barcelona Like Rashford but Talks Remain Stalled
Barcelona have made it clear they want to strengthen their attack under new manager Hansi Flick. The club has sorted out parts of its financial mess and is now eyeing quality up front.

Marcus Rashford is regarded as the perfect player with his pace, skill and ability to cut in from wide. He is well admired at board level as well. He is also open to the move and his camp has been in touch with the Catalan giants. The forward appears to be keen on the move especially with his future at Manchester United unclear.
But despite mutual interest and preliminary contacts, Barca have not made a formal move yet.
The team already has attacking options like Lamine Yamal and Raphinha. But, Flick is eager for players who can stretch defenses and make quick, direct runs. Rashford fits that role perfectly. Yet, as fans wait for news, the silence is growing louder.
Money Matters Delay the Deal
As per Sport, there are two key issues, wages and the transfer fee. Rashford earns around €19m net per season at Man Utd. That is a figure that Barca cannot match, even with a pay cut. Although, the Englishman is open to lowering his salary, it still doesn’t bring him within Barca’s wage structure.
On top of that, the Red Devils are demanding close to £40m to let him go. If that amount is added to his expected salary, the whole package becomes too expensive for the La Liga club.
Until every party involved agrees on a better deal, this transfer is unaffordable. Barcelona want him and Rashford want the transfer. But, unless something changes, the forward will remain on the books at United.
