Erling Haaland is undoubtedly one of the best strikers in the world.
The Norwegian superstar has been a huge hit with City supporters ever since his move to the Etihad Stadium in 2022, yet despite the goals the 24-year-old has scored, the forward has been slightly disrespected in recent months.
Haaland had his worst season at Man City last time around due to a lack of form and injuries, but the Norway international still produced 34 goals in all competitions.
In a recent interview, Phil Foden picked Sergio Aguero over Haaland in his best five-a-side team, while Darren Bent has now stated that he would have a striker that Man City know very well over the 24-year-old.

Darren Bent prefers Harry Kane over Erling Haaland
Man City tried to sign Harry Kane during the summer of 2021, with the Manchester club even submitting a £100m bid to Tottenham for the England international.
Spurs would reject that offer, which led to City bringing Haaland to the Etihad Stadium a year later, and if Bent had his way, he would have pushed again for the current Bayern Munich star.

“Haaland, he has to be in there, but people may look at that and say, ‘What? Really?” Bent stated on talkSPORT when picking his top 10 players in the world.
However, when asked if he would take Kane over Haaland, the pundit responded by saying: “Yeah, I would.”
It is fair to say that things have worked out well for Haaland and Man City, with the superstar producing 124 goals and 21 assists across 146 matches for Pep Guardiola’s side.
The Norwegian will be looking to add to this further over the coming months, and a potential partnership between Haaland and Rayan Cherki could see the striker reach new heights.

How Erling Haaland compares to Harry Kane
Kevin De Bruyne thinks Haaland is a better player than Aguero due to what the Belgian expects to come from the 24-year-old.
Given all that the superstar has achieved so far, that is scary, and with a seven-year difference between the Man City star and Kane, the Manchester club made the right investment, despite the Englishman having a better season last time around.

The two strikers are very different from each other, as Haaland loves to use his physical attributes to bully defenders, while Kane is technically better than the Norwegian and has a higher football IQ.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Haaland at Man City, but based on his first three years in Manchester, it is very likely to be positive.
