Report: Bayern Munich’s Max Eberl, Vincent Kompany want RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons

According to a report from Sport Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl and head coach Vincent Kompany are “convinced” of RB Leipzig attacker Xavi Simons:

Max Eberl and Vincent Kompany, in particular, are convinced of Xavi Simons and see him as a potential immediate reinforcement. RB Leipzig are ready to sell the Dutchman and want €60-70m, but there’s talk that the price could be driven down to as little as €50m. However, Simons is only considered an alternative to Nick Woltemade and Luis Díaz. He would be an option if either of the priority deals fell through, since he can play in attacking midfield and on the wing.

Simons is a very interesting player for the Bavarians and likely very attainable as well. Will Eberl and Kompany get their way?
