Manchester United continue pushing to try and sign Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford this summer.
The lack of progress being made over Bryan Mbeumo has caused frustration in the Manchester United fanbase, with talks now lasting close to six weeks.
United have had two Mbeumo bids rejected but Ineos remain in talks with Brentford to try and reach an agreement.
United in Focus have been informed by Graeme Bailey that Mbeumo’s sale is close with Brentford already preparing a succession plan.
Brentford have bid for Omari Hutchinson as a replacement for Mbeumo, but it seems they are in no rush to get that deal over the line.

Brentford avoid £35m Omari Hutchinson release clause
Earlier this week it became clear that Brentford want Hutchinson to replace Mbeumo with United refusing to give up their pursuit.
However, Brentford will only sell Mbeumo on their terms, and they are taking their time making sure the Hutchinson deal is exactly how they want it.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Ipswich Town have already rejected multiple approaches from Brentford.

There was a £35 million relegation clause active in Hutchinson’s contract, but it was only valid until 5pm on Tuesday afternoon.
Brentford avoided triggering the relegation clause as they couldn’t agree payment terms with Ipswich. The Bees remain in talks for the 21-year-old, but they are in no rush.
Brentford might not sell Bryan Mbeumo until a replacement is found
Brentford have already changed their Mbeumo price this summer, much to the frustration of United and Ineos.
They have made it blindingly clear that the Mbeumo sale will only be greenlighted once their full demands are met, and that could include Brentford sourcing a replacement.
United might have to sit on their hands and wait for Mbeumo until Brentford can push through a deal for Hutchinson, and it seems negotiations are not plain sailing.

Brentford are happy to pay Hutchinson’s £35m fee, but are discussing payment terms and the structure of the deal. United fans will know better than most that it isn’t always a simple task.
Amorim wanted Mbeumo signed before the US tour, and while that is still possible, it seems this saga could rumble on for a little while longer.
