Barcelona ready to ‘try again’ for leading transfer target

The brass at La Liga champions Barcelona are preparing a fresh move for a leading member of the club’s summer transfer wishlist.

That’s according to market insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Luis Díaz as the player in question.

Wide-man Díaz has of course taken his place centre stage in the media headlines across Europe once more over the last 24 hours.

This comes after confirmation was forthcoming that the Colombian was the subject of a big-money proposal on the part of German heavyweights Bayern Munich.

Liverpool, however, showed little hesitation in turning as much down.

🚨 Liverpool have received €67.5m official bid from FC Bayern for Luis Diaz this week.

The club has rejected the proposal, it was turned down after #LFC already closed doors to approaches in June as @TheAthleticFC.

But if the latest word doing the rounds 24 hours on is anything to go by, then neither Bayern nor Barcelona have yet been deterred from their pursuit of Díaz.

As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:

‘Luis Diaz remains open to leave Liverpool this summer, if good proposal arrives for the club. Both Bayern and Barça plan to try again, in direct contact with his agents.’
