Everton have been linked with a host of targets as they undergo substantial changes this summer.

David Moyes has several holes to plug in his squad, with wingers and defenders high on the agenda.

Mark Travers is the most recent Everton signing through the door after completing a £4million move from Bournemouth.

Now, the North West club are stepping up their pursuit of wingers, with Atletico Madrid’s Samu Lino under consideration.

Everton eyeing permanent deal for Lino

Moyes has already lost Jesper Lindstrom and Jack Harrison following the expiration of their loans, although Everton could still sign Harrison permanently.

Reports suggest that the Merseyside club would be willing to sanction a free transfer for the Leeds United man if he were allowed to leave.

Harrison would welcome a return to the Hill Dickinson Stadium; however, the Peacocks value him at £10million.

Now, the Toffees have taken a step forward with greater determination to sign Lino, according to Fichajes (16 July).

Everton have the most concrete interest in the left winger, who also has interest from Serie A.

While several clubs have asked about his contractual situation, the North West outfit are seriously considering a permanent deal.

Lino has two years remaining on his Atletico contract, having joined the La Liga side from Gil Vicente in 2023.

Lino to provide competition on the wing for Moyes

Moyes currently has no natural right wingers, while he possesses Dwight McNeil and Iliman Ndiaye on the left.

Now, it appears the Merseyside club are stepping up their pursuit of wide areas, but what would Lino bring to the North West?

The Brazilian made 45 appearances for Atletico in all competitions last season and notched 12 goal contributions.

While the 25-year-old made league 21 starts, he has often started on the bench and has been told he can leave this summer.

Lino is a versatile player and has played on the opposite flank, while he is pacey and provides a goal threat.

Moyes needs competition in wide areas, and Lino could be available for an affordable fee.
