It's not even training camp but the Jaguars' secret weapon is painfully obvious

The Jacksonville Jaguars have put together a solid wide receiver corps. Led by Brian Thomas Jr., the group as a whole looks in great shape, but a local media personality doesn't think one of its members is getting nearly as much recognition as he deserves.

Ryan "Hacker" Green of 1010XL argues that Dyami Brown isn't being discussed nearly as much as he should, pointing out that the fifth-year receiver has been putting in the work ahead of the regular season.

"We're always talking about BTJ, and we're always talking about Travis Hunter. Yet I think Dyami Brown could have a huge role in this offense, huge role," Green argued. "I told you guys that when he signed here, nothing I've seen in OTAs or mini camp leads me to believe that won't happen. And based on the video of them in the Bahamas, I'm even higher on Dyami brown than maybe I was two hours ago before I watched it."

A third-round selection by the Washington Commanders in 2021, Dyami Brown didn't do much of note in his first three seasons, but a switch flipped last year, and he went on to play a pivotal role in his team's playoff run. The North Carolina product then signed a one-year deal with the Jags in free agency.

The team's brass believes that Brown can build off of his strong finish to 2024 and be even better next season. Based on his offseason work, it's reasonable to believe that he'll pull it off. Heck, it wouldn't be shocking to see Brown be WR2 opposite Thomas to start the season.

Dyami Brown is just one of many weapons the Jaguars gave Trevor Lawrence

Aside from Dyami Brown, the Jacksonville Jaguars have Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter in the fold. Together, the trio gives Trevor Lawrence's best arsenal of weapons of his career. Ryan Green certainly believes that the group is good enough to help the fifth-year quarterback have a career year.

"This Jaguar passing attack has me drinking the Kool-Aid. Now I'm not going to sit here and tell you the Jaguars are going to win the division, are going to go to the Super Bowl, or this, that, or the other. What I will tell you is this: if those three receivers and Trevor Lawrence are healthy, and if the Jaguars have anything that resembles an NFL-caliber offensive line... they don't even have to be good. They have to be average if they have an average NFL offensive line, I think Trevor Lawrence might put up the best numbers of his career with that receiving core," Green said.

Green continued, "I think Trevor Lawrence may have a career year because of the weapons at his disposal between BTJ, Travis Hunter, Dyami Brown, mix in a little Parker Washington, a little Brenton Strange, a little Joshua Cephus, not to mention ETN, Bigsby. This offense has potential. No question about that. Some things need to fall their way, certainly: Health, the offensive line, that's a big one."

"But if things do fall into the right place, I think potentially this could be a career year here in Jacksonville for Trevor Lawrence, and I think he could put some of his critics to rest if he goes out there and accomplishes."

It's hard to disagree with Hacker. Trevor Lawrence has all the weapons he needs, along with the protection, to post a career season. He now needs to stay healthy but will most definitely enter the regular season in a great position to make noise.
