Liverpool refuse to rule out Hugo Ekitike and Alexander Isak double swoop as Eintracht Frankfurt star tipped for summer exit
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has confirmed that Liverpool sources have told him there has indeed been contact over Ekitike.
Indeed, Liverpool sources have not ruled out a potential deal for both Ekitike and Newcastle’s Alexander Isak this summer.
“As we have previously revealed, Ekitike is someone who Liverpool like and have done work on,” Bailey exclusively told TBR Football.
“Like Newcastle they have made contact… I am now told by Frankfurt sources they now fully expect Ekitike to leave this summer.
“Ekitike has made it clear he wants to move and he has a desire to come to England.
“This is fascinating, it’ll be interesting to see how this plays out.”

Ekitike – who was called “very special” during his time at Reims – didn’t have the best of times at Paris Saint-Germain, but he has bounced back with a strong spell at Eintracht.
Last season, the 23-year-old registered 22 goals and 12 assists from 48 outings, leading to the interest seen now from the likes of Liverpool and Newcastle.
With Liverpool in such good financial health, they could very well move for both Ekitike and Isak, which would make them a real force to be reckoned with next season.
