Argentine press claims Man Utd closing in on Alejandro Garnacho solution, it's 'one step away'

Manchester United have made it abundantly clear that the future of five players lies away from Old Trafford.

This summer, Ineos were planning to overhaul the squad but this hasn’t came to fruition.

Manchester United finished 15th in the Premier League last season and no player could be upset about being on the transfer list this summer.

So far, there hasn’t been a single sale completed by United this summer, despite five in particular being on Amorim’s very own ‘bomb squad’ at Carrington.

This has led to United telling five players not to join first-team training, with the quintet having no place in Ruben Amorim’s squad.

Jadon Sancho

Marcus Rashford

Tyrell Malacia

All five should be sellable assets, yet Ineos have run into troubles in attempting to do this.

Aston Villa making moves over Alejandro Garnacho loan

Of the five, Alejandro Garnacho should in theory be the easiest to sell for United this summer.

Garnacho has broken records held by George Best and Cristiano Ronaldo at the club, proving he is an incredible talent regardless of his current attitude issues.

Garnacho’s comments after the Europa League final ended his career at the club and since then, it has been clear that he will depart this summer.

Now, according to Argentine outlet Minutouno, Garnacho’s future is close to being arranged.

The report claims that Garnacho is now ‘one step away’ from joining Aston Villa. Which the Daily Mail have backed up by reporting Villa are among the most interested in Garnacho.

The deal is said to be getting closer, with Villa are among four clubs keen on Garnacho this summer, with the outlet claiming that a loan it the likliest outcome.

The article also claims that United are closing in on Emiliano Martinez, with reports that the club are prepared to pay £33m.

Manchester United could reap rewards of an Alejandro Garnacho loan

On the surface of things, loaning out Garnacho is a big blow as it means missing out on the instant transfer fee this summer.

However, looking at things more widely and it could actually end up being a masterstroke by Ineos.

If United can do without the £50m this summer, Garnacho could easily be worth an additional £20m after a season under Unai Emery in a system which suits him. In addition, Garnacho wore a Villa shirt this summer which could take a whole new meaning if he goes to Villa Park.

So United could reap the rewards if this comes off successfully, potentially if a big optional buy option is placed onto the deal.
