Zion Williamson makes an appearance in Las Vegas for the Pelicans' summer squad

Zion Williamson flew back to the U.S. to attend the New Orleans Pelicans-Portland Trail Blazers game on Tuesday night in Las Vegas. Williamson sat baseline next to new team executive vice president Joe Dumars and general manager Troy Weaver.

The appearance came shortly after Williamson was pictured in a Jordan Brand family reunion event in Greece. New Orleans Saints defensive end Cam Jordan was also on the trip.

In a recent interview with Andscape's Marc J. Spears, Dumars said he and Zion have had a lot of uncensored conversations about what it's going to take for him to take the next step in his career.

"We are in constant contact with each other," Dumars said. "I’ve talked to him about the responsibility of being great and the responsibility of being a leader, of being a captain, of being the best player, of being the face of a franchise. I’ve talked to him about how all of those things come with responsibility and how it’s time now at 25 years old to embrace those responsibilities."
