**Manchester United have “been offered” the chance to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.**
The Serbian international has less than a year left on his contract with the Bianconeri and the Serie A side are keen to offload him this summer. However, Romano says the Red Devils won’t make any approach for Vlahovic until they have secured the signature of Brentford’s [**Bryan Mbeumo**](https://manunews.com/blog/man-united-transfer-news-bryan-mbeumo-8/):
“What I can tell you is, just to confirm, Vlahovic is expected to leave Juventus this summer. Vlahovic is not a key player for Juventus anymore. One year left on his contract, so Juventus are more than ready to let Vlahovic go.”
“The player was offered to Manchester United. That’s why we had some stories and rumours. Vlahovic has been offered to Man United because he has to leave Juventus. It’s time for him to go and leave Juventus.”
“But, at the moment, Manchester United are focused on Mbeumo and are not advancing on this deal for Dusan Vlahovic. They are aware of this possibility, he has been offered, but at this moment, to say that there is a negotiation for Vlahovic to Manchester United is something that I’m not aware of.”

The Red Devils are likely to miss out on Viktor Gyokeres and Victor Osimhen, partly because they have not managed to raise the necessary funds by offloading Marcus Rashford, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and Jadon Sancho.
If some of those players leave, it would pave the way for a new striker with a better track record than Vlahovic to be signed. If that doesn’t happen, though, the Serbian could still come under consideration later in the summer.
Vlahovic is a ‘plan B’ option

The forward is still only 25 years of age, and he has scored 110 goals in his senior career. Despite reservations about his salary and his injury record, he is someone who would strengthen United’s attack.
Even so, you can’t see Vlahovic being top of the list of striker targets. A move might be explored closer to the end of the transfer window if he is available on the cheap.
