José Mourinho has publicly criticised Jhon Duran just days after the former Aston Villa striker joined Fenerbahce on loan.

The 21-year-old signed for the Turkish giants on a season-long loan after Al-Nassr allowed him to leave, only months after his £65 million move from Villa.

Duran made 13 appearances for Al-Nassr, scoring an impressive eight goals — one more than he managed in 20 Premier League games during the first half of the campaign.

While Duran has only joined Fenerbahce on loan, his time at Al-Nassr appears to be over, and he will likely be seeking a permanent resolution to his future next summer.

However, his start to life at Fenerbahce has not been smooth.

In a press conference, manager Mourinho revealed that Duran had missed training.

"It's disrespectful," Mourinho said, as reported by Marca. "There are clear rules here, and those who do not comply with them will face consequences. We will talk to him — when he shows up, if he does."

Duran is already playing alongside former teammate Diego Carlos and is expected to be joined by Marco Asensio soon.

Although Duran and Carlos never played together at Villa, Leon Bailey — who has been at the club for four years — is also said to be a target for Mourinho.
