Julian Nagelsmann could potentially be a factor to help Leeds United sign Hoffenheim midfielder Anton Stach this transfer window.

The head coach of the German national team may have a role to play in the 26-year-old’s move to the Whites in the coming weeks.

Stach’s move from the Bundesliga outfit looks to be on the cards, with the defensive midfielder open to joining the West Yorkshire outfit.

Hoffenheim expect to receive over £17.4million from Elland Road, and there should be confidence among the hierarchy in LS11 to complete a deal soon.

Leeds is certainly an attractive destination for Stach due to the prospect of returning to the German national team, according to Kicker.

The news outlet reports (16 July) that a move to Elland Road could potentially present a medium-term opportunity for the 25-year-old to get back into Nagelsmann’s plans.

It’s been claimed that the midfielder isn’t averse to the idea of leaving Hoffenheim, but the Whites aren’t the only team seriously interested in him.

While the Germany international’s possible exit is stated to be a sporting loss for the Bundesliga outfit, it also represents a financial gain.

Stach featured for Die Mannschaft in two matches three years ago, but has since been unable to get into the squad.

The Peacocks are set to sign Sean Longstaff from Newcastle, but they still arguably need someone like the Hoffenheim star in their ranks.

49ers Enterprises should seal Stach transfer quickly

Sunderland beat the Whites to sign Habib Diarra this summer, and 49ers Enterprises can’t let another team pip them to Stach’s signature.

While Daniel Farke has quality options in Ao Tanaka, Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev at Leeds, they arguably need more depth in the engine room.

The German manager had to deal with several fitness issues last season, especially in the midfield, and the Whites were forced to sign Josuha Guilavogui as a free agent in October.

Having returned to the Premier League, the West Yorkshire outfit must ensure they have enough options in their squad to face the challenges next season, and Stach’s addition will certainly prove pivotal in LS11.

The English top flight is arguably the most watched league, and the 25-year-old will certainly be able to impress Nagelsmann if he performs well at Elland Road.
