Manchester United have made an approach to sign Brighton and Hove Albion star Pervis Estupinan, GIVEMESPORT sources understand.
The Red Devils are in the transfer market to strengthen their squad for Ruben Amorim this summer, with the club already completing a deal to add Brazil forward Matheus Cunha from Wolves, while the club remain in talks to sign Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo to bolster their attack.
But the attack isn't the only area of the squad that they want to strengthen, and it has now emerged that moves are being made behind the scenes for other deals.

Brighton open to sale
Pervis Estupinan
Estupinan, who has been described as "one of the best left-backs in the Premier League" by manager Fabian Huerzeler, has become a key member of the Brighton squad in recent seasons since being signed to replace Marc Cucurella for a bargain £14.9m from Villarreal.
But after the Seagulls completed the signing of Maxim De Cuyper earlier this summer to bolster their full-back position, they are now open to a sale of the Ecuador international.
That has seen Manchester United make an approach to the player's side to see if he would be interested in making a move to Old Trafford, with Amorim keen to add another full-back option to his squad despite already having Patrick Dorgu, Luke Shaw and youngster Diego Leon available as a left wing-back.

Noussair Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot are also capable of playing in that position, but Amorim wants a specialist for the position, while all of Shaw's appearances under Amorim in the 2024/25 season came as the left-sided centre-back.
There have been no club-to-club talks yet, but Man Utd are keen to bring in the 27-year-old this summer if the terms of a deal are realistic. Serie A side AC Milan have also made an enquiry as to his availability.
Man Utd Remain Focused on Mbeumo
Club hopeful of having him on USA pre-season tour
Bryan Mbeumo
While a deal for Estupinan is possible later in the summer, the club's current focus remains on getting a deal over the line for Brentford star Mbeumo.
The Reds have already had two bids rejected for the Cameroon forward, as the Bees look to hold out for more money. Talks between the clubs are ongoing, and United remain hopeful of completing the transfer before they head out on their pre-season tour to the United States next Tuesday.
Amorim's side will begin their pre-season campaign with a clash against Leeds United in Stockholm on Saturday, before heading out to the USA for games against Everton, Bournemouth and West Ham.
