Pre-season will decide whether some players will be in the team for next season. Jack Harrison is one of the names expected to be omitted from the travelling squad to sort out his future. Everton and Burnley have recently registered interest in the 28-year old.
Mateo Joseph is another player whose future is up in the air. Spanish outlet El Desmarque have reported that Real Betis have made a loan offer for the 21-year old. The loan includes an option to buy, it is yet to be seen if Leeds will respond to the offer.
Leeds United could sell youngster
Per a report from TEAMtalk, Leeds could be open to selling the Spaniard for the right price. The forward is now at a crossroads in his career; he needs playing time, and has already said he will hold talks with the club when he returns. Joseph will report to Leeds’ camp next week, as he has been given a week off to rest due to the U21 Euros.
There is no word on if a decision will be made soon.
Club still need a center forward for next season
The arrival of Lukas Nmecha is a huge boost; Piroe will have some competition next season. Even though the German forward is not prolific, he brings size and physicality and can play in a variety of roles.
Leeds still look like they need an out and out striker; someone who can guarantee goals in the Premier League. Maybe the fee from Mateo Joseph’s sale can help fund a move for a new center forward.
