Sky Sports: Aston Villa now eyeing blockbuster move to sign £100m star, Emery is a big fan

Aston Villa are eyeing a summer move for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth has revealed.

The Villans are reportedly among several clubs monitoring the £100m-rated forward, along with Manchester United and AC Milan.

Unai Emery is believed to be a long-term admirer of Jackson from his time at Villarreal, where he handed the Senegalese striker his La Liga debut in 2021.

Jackson may be made available for transfer following Chelsea’s summer spree, with Liam Delap and Joao Pedro now ahead of him in Enzo Maresca’s pecking order.

Sheth, writing on X, has revealed that several clubs are keeping tabs on Jackson at the moment, including Aston Villa, Man United and AC Milan.

However, while United’s priority remains Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo, there is believed to be a gap in valuation between Chelsea and Milan:

Jackson joined Chelsea in the summer of 2023 from Villarreal and signed a contract extension last season, keeping him at the club until June 2033.

The ‘unbelievable’ 24-year-old made 34 appearances across all competitions for the Blues last season, scoring 13 goals and providing five assists.

He also featured three times en route to Chelsea’s Club World Cup triumph, registering one assist in nearly 100 minutes of total game time.
