The Morgan Gibbs-White saga looks set to rumble on for Nottingham Forest.
Last week, it emerged that Tottenham had tried to sign Gibbs-White, with reports claiming that a release clause had been activated.
However, Evangelos Marinakis had other ideas and has considered starting legal proceedings against Tottenham over their approach for the Forest number 10.
Gibbs-White has returned to Forest training this week, but given that a release clause was in the contract, it feels like a deal will be struck.
Naturally, when a player of such importance is under scrutiny over a transfer, it will have an impact on his teammates, and now it’s been shared how the Forest players are feeling.

How the Nottingham Forest squad feel about Morgan Gibbs-White
It’s seemingly unsurprising that Forest aren’t overly surprised that Gibbs-White is the subject of interest.
A report from the Daily Mail has claimed that Forest were so convinced that Gibbs-White was leaving for Manchester City after he enjoyed a positive moment with Pep Guardiola after the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.
Those inside the dressing room wanted the deal to be done quickly to avoid it becoming a bit of a distraction ahead of the new campaign.

However, Forest are now in this predicament and with signings hardly forthcoming, it’s vital that Marinakis doesn’t let this situation rumble on much longer.
Forest need to sell Morgan Gibbs-White
It might not be a popular decision but clearly, Gibbs-White is keen to move on and sign for Tottenham.
With that in mind, the Reds need to offload the number 10, bank the money and move swiftly to reinvest the money into the squad.
Gibbs-White is a superb footballer but it would seem as though his head has been turned away from the City Ground, and that is a cause for concern.
No player is bigger than the football club and Forest need to move on from this whole ordeal and start strengthening the squad once again.
