Savinho’s first season at Manchester City had hits and misses.
The Brazilian moved to the Etihad Stadium as part of a £30m deal with Troyes last summer, and after an impressive 23/24 campaign at Girona, the winger hit the ground running in Manchester, producing goal contributions in two of his first four Premier League matches.
The 21-year-old was a regular starter for Pep Guardiola last season, but he found himself out of the team towards the end of the campaign as a result of his form dipping off, with Man City fans sharing their frustrations with Savinho on several occasions.
Despite this, the Brazilian ended the campaign with three goals and 13 assists, with the winger achieving something nobody else could at City with one of his strikes.

Savinho scored Man City’s fastest goal last season
The FIFA Club World Cup was positive for Savinho as the Brazilian played more minutes than any other Man City star, which suggests Guardiola will trust the player on the right wing throughout the upcoming campaign.
The 21-year-old will look to kick on following his displays in the United States, and another thing he may take confidence from is the fact that he scored the fastest goal for Man City last season, with his strike against Leicester City recorded at 28.7 m/s.

Savinho was the only City star to cross the 28.5 m/s mark, with Jeremy Doku’s incredible strike against Fulham coming in at second with a speed of 28.2 m/s.
Omar Marmoush goals made up the rest of the top five, which shows just how hard the Egyptian hits a football, while surprisingly, there was no entry from Erling Haaland.
Savinho now needs to work on increasing his numbers and working on other parts of his game, such as his dribbling, which left Alan Shearer annoyed with the Man City star during the FA Cup final.
What is Man City’s plan for Savinho this season
This season will be a big one for Savinho and his development, with everything in place for the Brazilian to succeed at the Etihad Stadium.
The winger is likely to be given the starting role on the right when the new Premier League campaign gets underway next month, as the left wing will be dominated by Rayan Ait-Nouri in Guardiola’s side.
This is a big boost for the 21-year-old as he will not have to play on his weaker flank, with the addition of Rayan Cherki and Tijjani Reijnders also making Man City a more effective team in and around the opposition box, which should only benefit the former Girona star.
Man City have a potential superstar on their hands in Savinho, and only time will tell if he starts his journey towards hitting those heights this season or if it will take a little while longer.
