Former Indiana basketball star and NBA All-Star Victor Oladipo isn't giving up on his playing career just yet. According to ESPN, Oladipo participated in a ["well-attended" private workout in Las Vegas](https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/45742034/2025-nba-summer-league-buzz-intel-storylines-reaction-las-vegas) earlier this week with several NBA and European teams in attendance. The former two-time All-Star played in full-court, five-on-five games against international players as part of the workout, earning intrigue from team executives who were watching.
"Multiple team sources in attendance came away impressed," ESPN reported, "with Oladipo described as being in excellent shape as he pursues another comeback."
Oladipo hasn't played professionally since the 2022-23 season with the Miami Heat. He's suffered multiple significant injuries throughout his 10-year career, most recently a torn left patellar tendon during the 2023 NBA Playoffs, along with a quad tendon rupture in 2019 and a reaggravation of the injury in 2021.
A former first-team All-American and national Defensive Player of the Year at Indiana, Oladipo was selected with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2013 draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder. Oladipo finished second in 2014 Rookie of the Year voting and was named NBA Most Improved Player following the 2017-18 season.
Oladipo recently expressed on X his desire to return to the NBA and said he's currently "better than I felt in the last 7 years mind, body and soul."
"I feel so great right now!! Better than I felt in the last 7 years mind, body and soul," Oladipo wrote. "I know I am a fighter! I know I am a warrior! I have seen every lens this game and this league has to offer. I know I can help any team in any role win in any way! I also know the people want to see me succeed in this game and play at the highest level again.
"My injuries are behind me and it will never happen again! I am at peace with that and my past. I'm ready to build a present now and future of a life time. I want to share my story and my journey and give it back to the people because without them there would be no VeO. I want to show the world that even in the darkest of places and during the darkest times the light in you can lead to the brightest destinations.
