The Nottingham Forest promotion heroes of 2021/22 will never ever be forgotten.
Steve Cooper led the Reds to the Premier League despite the club sitting at rock bottom of the Championship when he took over in September of that particular season.
A number of players starred during that campaign, with Brennan Johnson top-scoring and on-loan player James Garner pulling the strings in midfield.
Things quickly moved on when Forest won promotion to the Premier League, with the squad naturally getting a makeover ahead of playing in the top flight.
Still, it’s always fascinating to see where the crop of promotion heroes end up and now one player from that team is set for a fascinating move.

Scott McKenna set to sign for Europa League outfit
If McKenna joining Las Palmas on a free transfer last summer wasn’t random enough, the defender is now jetting off to another country to play his football.
According to 24 Sata, McKenna is due for a medical at Dinamo Zagreb, where he will sign as a free agent following relegation for Las Palmas last season.
McKenna played 106 times for Forest during his four-year stay, with 25 of those outings coming in the Premier League.
MORE FOREST STORIES
McKenna had a bit of a contract dispute during his time at Forest, and it meant that Evangelos Marinakis wasn’t forthcoming with an offer of an extension.
McKenna could face Forest next season
Forest could yet find themselves in the Europa League alongside Zagreb next season and that could see McKenna line up against the Reds.
It would undoubtedly see the player get a raucous reception from the crowd, given what he achieved at the City Ground.
Although McKenna was a little bit short of pace for the Premier League, his Championship form was exceptional, with the star winning Player of the Match in the Play-Off Final and claiming the Player of the Year award.
It will be fascinating to see how McKenna gets on next year and he will surely relish the chance to operate in Europe during his time in the Croatian capital.
