**West Ham** are said to be making a late push to hijack Inter Milan’s deal for Genoa defender Koni De Winter.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Hammers have entered the race for the highly-rated Belgian centre-back, who is valued at just €25 million (£22m) by his Serie A club.
The 22-year-old impressed last season and has long been on Inter’s radar, but Graham Potter & Kyle Macaulay are said to be plotting a late offer. The same Italian newspaper had earlier linked the Irons with a move for Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz, that particular rumour was rubbished today by London Stadium insiders speaking to [Claret & Hugh](https://www.claretandhugh.info/category/news/).
Interestingly, De Winter has been linked with West Ham earlier this window, along with his fellow Club Brugge stars Ardon Jashari and Raphael Onyedika—both reportedly targets for Potter this summer.
However, Spurs are also said to be in the mix, joining Inter Milan in the hunt for De Winter. With Tottenham and Inter’s Champions League pull, it’s hard to see the Hammers winning this one.
