Delta Air Lines removed a four-time Pro Bowler from a flight this Wednesday for causing a disturbance mid-flight:

According to TMZ, former Minnesota Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen was accused of “creating a scene” just minutes after his flight took off. His alleged behavior was bad enough for Delta to turn the plane around and return to Chicago O’Hare International Airport.

While the full details regarding Griffen’s behavior haven’t been provided yet, Delta released a statement on this incident.

“Delta has zero tolerance for unruly behavior and will always work with law enforcement to that end,” a spokesperson for the airline said “We apologize to our customers for the delay in their travel as safety and security comes before everything else at Delta.”

Earlier this Wednesday, Griffen posted a video of him showing up to O’Hare International Airport. His Instagram post included this caption: “We out Chicago!!! It’s up, it better be!!!”

Griffen, who earned All-Pro honors in 2017, spent the majority of his career with the Vikings. However, he also had stints with the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions.

Over the course of Griffen’s career, he racked up 403 tackles, 200 QB hits, 85.5 sacks and 10 forced fumbles.

Back in 2011, Griffen was arrested for public intoxication. Seven years later, he made headlines for allegedly threatening to shoot someone. He was reportedly taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.

We’ll see if Griffen releases a statement on his “unruly” behavior this Wednesday.
