Leeds United have gone about their business swiftly this summer. The club has been meticulous on their targets and their talks with the club.
They completed deals for Lukas Nmecha and Gabriel Gudmundsson within days. The club made sure to convince the players of the project, making personal terms quick to agree to. Leeds were also firm in negotiations, they never paid more than they valued a player. It was one of the reasons they avoided signing Habib Diarra, as Strasbourg demanded a high fee.

Leeds have made a breakthrough this week for Hoffenheim midfielder Anton Stach.
The previous week saw the Whites make contact with the Bundesliga side just for preliminary talks. Now, Leeds have agreed to personal terms with Stach. The midfielder could prefer a move to England as he considers his place in the German national team.
A move for the 26-year old will not be straightforward, according to Graeme Bailey:
“Anton Stach is another player, we have had confirmed, that they have done work on. They like him, they believe his physicality is perfect, and that he would be well-suited to England and the Premier League.” he said to MOT Leeds News.
“Leeds have confirmed they are holding talks with Hoffenheim about what a deal would look like.
“That follows after they have done their work on the player, with personal terms in principle done — but that was never going to be an issue.
“They are in talks with Hoffenheim. I don’t believe Leeds want to go much more than they did with Longstaff with him but Hoffenheim are looking for around €20 million at this point.
“Talks continue but they are not too far apart at all now.”
Stuttgart attempt to hijack deal
In the late hours of Wednesday night, it has been reported that Stuttgart have registered interest in the midfielder.
Leeds already knew that Stach would be highly sought after across Europe, his performances last season did not go unnoticed. The Whites are locked in talks, but a deal is not yet complete. Stuttgart could pose a serious problem.
Stach is one of Europe’s best
Last season, the Hoffenheim midfielder dominated the middle of the park. He was one of the highest ranking players across multiple metrics.
