Manchester United receive improved offer for Jadon Sancho as progress made on two sales

Manchester United received an improved bid for Jadon Sancho, as three Premier League clubs eye up another one of Ruben Amorim’s players.

Manchester United are looking to move several players on this summer to fund a squad rebuild. Last season, United had their lowest ever Premier League finish, largely due to issues in the final third, forcing the club to focus on transfers in the forward areas.

The club signed Matheus Cunha early in the window and looked to swiftly follow it up with the purchase of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford, but that deal has now become a protracted transfer saga.

Ruben Amorim’s side will have more money available to increase their bid for Mbeumo once they move on some of their unwanted players, but they have yet to make any sales.

This being said, Juventus have been heavily pursuing a move for Jadon Sancho and recently had a bid rejected. However, this has not put them off, and they have improved their bid.

Juventus increase Sancho bid

Football Italia’s Alfredo Pedullà has revealed that Juventus have increased their offer for Sancho to £15million. Pedullà has reported that Juventus’ previous offer was around £12.9 million.

United’s asking price for Sancho is reportedly around the £25 million mark, which they hope to receive from Chelsea. However, Pedullà has shared that Juventus considers this asking price to be “frankly unrealistic” given the length of Sancho’s contract and his wages.

Sancho and the Italian side have already agreed on personal terms, so the only thing left to work out between the two clubs is the transfer fee.

Due to reports that Sancho and his representatives have requested £4.3 million to terminate his United contract, it is uncertain whether Juventus’ improved offer will be enough to satisfy the Red Devils.

Premier League clubs eyeing up Garnacho

Luckily for United, there has also been movement on the Alejandro Garnacho front. The Daily Mail’s Chris Wheeler has indicated that three separate Premier League sides are interested in signing the outcast winger.

The most concrete interest is from Aston Villa, who have registered their interest with the club and are considering making a permanent move. Last season, Villa signed Marcus Rashford and PSG’s Marco Asensio on loan, but they decided against making either of these deals permanent, so they could sign Garnacho as an alternative.

Chelsea and Tottenham are also monitoring the situation of the Argentine. While they’re interest is not as progressed as Villa’s, they may make a move later in the window. Chelsea had previously expressed interest in signing the 21-year-old in January, but they have since signed several forwards.

Based on United’s current transfer predicaments, it appears that the signing of Mbeumo will follow the sale of Sancho. If United want to make more signings after this, it may be dependent on one of these three teams making an official offer for Garnacho.
