Report: Arsenal approached by London rivals over 'electric' player, Gunners are keen on selling him

Arsenal have had a fairly busy few weeks on the transfer front, bringing in several new players with a few more expected to join.

Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Christian Norgaard have all joined Arsenal in recent weeks.

Meanwhile Arsenal are also closing in on Noni Madueke, Viktor Gyokeres and Cristhian Mosquera.

More outbounds could also be on the cards after the Gunners let the contracts of 20 players expire at the end of June.

Now, it has been reported that Arsenal have been approached by a London rival over one of their players, and the Gunners could look to sell him.

Arsenal approached by Fulham over Reiss Nelson

The player in question is Reiss Nelson, who spent last season out on loan at Fulham but was unable to play from December onwards due to injury.

According to multiple sources including Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth, Fulham have approached Arsenal over Nelson once again.

Sheth reported on Sky Sports that the Cottagers are exploring another loan deal for Nelson, whose contract runs until the summer of 2027.

However, ‘it is likely Arsenal will want a permanent element attached’ if they are to part company with the Hale End graduate this time round.

Who else could leave Arsenal this summer

When Nelson came through the ranks at Arsenal, he looked like a future superstar. Back in 2017, Ray Parlour said Nelson was an “electric” talent who has “everything”.

And even though Nelson doesn’t seem to be in Mikel Arteta’s plans, he has shown he has what it takes to impress in the Premier League.

With that in mind, there shouldn’t be a shortage of suitors for the 25-year-old.

According to The Athletic, Arsenal are also open to offers for Karl Hein, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Fabio Vieira.

Oleksandr Zinchenko, Jakub Kiwior, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard could also be in line to leave, though it is suggested that the Gunners aren’t actively looking to move these players on.
