Green Bay Packers: Rasheed Walker Defends Jordan Love Who Faces Heavier Criticisms in 3rd Year…

Jordan Love is probably the Green Bay Packers player who is under pressure to deliver this 2025 season. This could be because of a contract he just signed and the fact that he is entering his third year as the main quarterback of the team.

Media put this pressure on him while also saying that he is not among the best quarterbacks this season. ESPN’s ranking of 2025 QB has been released and they only put Love in the honorable mentions list together with CJ Stroud of the Houston Texans.

“Love appeared ready for top-10 status by the end of 2023,” the website said.

It added a quote from an evaluator.

“That shifted slightly in 2024, due in part to a Week 1 knee injury that cost him two games. “It looked like it took him time to work through managing that injury,” the personnel evaluator said.

Packers are yet to miss the playoffs with Love as the main quarterback. The farthest they reach is the second round in 2023 season as the youngest team to win a playoff game.

Rasheed Walker sees good things with Jordan Love in the lead

Love may not be in the same level as the Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allens, and Joe Burrows, yet, but Packers know that they got the right man to send them to football glory.

His offensive tackle Rasheed Walker even thinks that the sky is the limit for them with him as their main signal caller.

“I feel like, you just gotta watch the tape,” Walker said on NFL Network’s Good Morning Football when asked about criticisms of their QB1.

“The guy does some pretty amazing things with the football. I feel like as long as we give him time, we have some great weapons on the perimeter, Jordan Love is very comfortable slinging the rock, doesn’t have any issue with that. The sky’s the limit when it comes to us with Jordan Love in the game.”

The weapon in the perimeter Walker is referring to is their new look wide receiver corps who just added a 23rd pick in Matthew Golden.
