Arsenal and Crystal Palace have began talks about a player-plus-cash deal for Eberechi Eze this summer, as per journalist Steve Kay.

The Gunners want to sign the Englishman to provide additional creativity to Mikel Arteta’s side. But, the move isn’t as simple as it seems. Eze has a release clause between €70m and €80m. That is a fee Arsenal are reluctant to pay outright after spending heavily in the current window.
Both clubs are discussing the possibility of including players in the deal to lower the cost. Palace are interested in winger Leandro Trossard. He is admired by Eagles head coach Oliver Glasner as well. The player has one year left on his current deal. He has spoken to Arsenal and may be open to a move having some doubts regarding his future.

Palace’s interest doesn’t stop at Trossard. Arsenal have also opened talks with Reiss Nelson and Fabio Vieira about the possibility of joining the Eagles as part of the deal. While neither move is official as of yet. But, both players could be included to sweeten the offer.
For Arteta, it is about getting the right framework of transfer talks. They are looking to rebuild their squad for a Premier League title challenge. The head coach wants to to close in on other primary targets. Noni Madueke and Cristhian Mosquera are likely to be going through a medical in the Emirates soon.
