Bills' best offseason decision could make or break their 2025 season

For the first time in quite awhile, Brandon Beane and the [Buffalo Bills](https://buffalowdown.com/one-training-camp-sleeper-who-could-ignite-the-bills-2025-hopes-01k04nes86gt) had themselves a solid NFL Draft where they knew what the weaknesses were, and they addressed them. I would even argue that when you compare this incoming rookie class to last year’s, it’s not even close. There are more potential starters and underrated late-round picks who could provide an immediate impact sooner than later.

This year’s class for the Bills is all about the defense, seeing as how they didn’t draft for offense until the 5th round, and then drafted a blocking tight end in Jackson Hawes out of Georgia Tech. Beane sent a message to the rest of the league. It was that he knew what the issue was on defense, and he addressed it. In addition, it shows us that he and the rest of the front office believe in the offense from last season.

PFF is a big believer in Bills' 2025 draft class

[Dalton Wasserman from Pro Football Focus (PFF)](https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-every-afc-team-best-offseason-decision-2025) recently said that the Bills’ best offseason decision was “using the draft to improve their defense” and we could not agree anymore. Maybe you can make the argument that the signing of Joey Bosa was it but that will depend on if he stays healthy. Here’s a bit of what Wasserman said about Buffalo’s draft:

> "Six of Buffalo's first seven selections were defensive players, including first-rounder Maxwell Hairston and defensive linemen T.J. Sanders and Landon Jackson. If this iteration of the Bills finally makes it to a Super Bowl, it will be because the team's 2025 draft class made an immediate impact."

All Bills fans knew that the team needed to improve the defense for not just this season, but for the future. The way that the front office has built up the defense, Buffalo is clearly trying to win a Super Bowl while Josh Allen is in his prime and the last thing we want to happen is to say “What If” about these Bills with Allen under center.

The fact that the Bills haven’t even made a Super Bowl appearance with Allen at quarterback is ridiculous. Bills fans are hoping that 2025 is the year where we can celebrate in tears of joy with Buffalo winning it all for the first time in franchise history, and there’s a chance that this rookie class could be the extra boost that the team needs to get it done.
