Former Houston Texans and Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Bryan Braman has sadly passed away at the age of 38.
Braman was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer back in February and had undergone several surgeries to fight the disease, according to a GoFundMe page set up to raise money for his treatments.
Braman leaves behind two daughters, ages 11 and 8.
On Thursday morning, Braman's former teammate with the Texans, J.J. Watt, took to X to mourn the loss of the 38-year-old.
"Rest in Peace brother," Watt wrote. "Gone far too soon."
Braman spent three seasons with the Texans after going undrafted out of West Texas A&M.

He then spent three years with the Eagles and was part of the Super Bowl-winning team that shocked the New England Patriots at the conclusion of the 2017 season. That was his last game in the NFL.
Watt and Braman entered the league together in 2011, with Watt being the No. 11 overall pick in the draft that year.
As of this writing, Braman's GoFundMe has raised over $88,000, which is well past the initial goal of $25,000.
Among the over 900 donations, several current and former NFL players have chipped-in, including Watt, who donated $10,000.
