Cowboys make insane move against star player

The Dallas Cowboys are looking to get back to the playoffs after injuries completely derailed their 2024 campaign. There’s a new buzz around the organization under new head coach Brian Schottenheimer.

Unfortunately, the organization is already at odds with one of its star players, and Schottenheimer is still over a month away from his first game as a head coach.

“Report: Cowboys enforce the de-escalator clause in Trevon Diggs’ contract, costing him $500,000 in base salary for not rehabbing at the team facility enough,” reported Pro Football Talk.

Dallas Cowboys owner previously rebuked Diggs decision to rehab in Miami, away from the team.

“He’s working hard,” Jones said, per Pro Football Talk. “That’s very important, because if he will be very good and diligent as to his rehab process, then he’ll get back quicker, and he will arrive when he does get back, sounder than if he has not worked as hard.

“He’s more subject to injury. He’s learned that one time. My point is, I have a lot of hope that his actual rehab and experience from the time before is really helping him out, and I think it has.”

Fans reacted to Dallas’ move on social media.

“Giving up 500k just because you don’t wanna work at facility is crazy. Makes u wonder if he’s even serious bout playing ball fr,” one fan wrote on social media.

“Can you really blame Jones for this? The idiot just threw away half a million. So little respect for money.Guys got a blueprint going for being broke by forty,” someone else added.

“Trying to find money for Micah Parsons,” someone else added.

It’ll be interesting to see if this leads to bad blood between Diggs and the organization.
