A look at the players Arsenal could sell before the start of the new season.

Arsenal have been busy this summer, setting about their summer transfer business with real intention. The Gunners have already signed Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Norgaard and Martin Zubimendi, while we are expecting to see Noni Madueke and Cristhian Mosquera rock up at the Emirates Stadium any moment.

A striker signing is also very likely, but what do all those signings mean for the current Arsenal players? Here we take a look at the players who are likely at risk of being sold or loaned out this summer as Mikel Arteta and Andrea Berta carefully attempt to craft a title-winning squad.

Jakub Kiwior

Kiwior did feature regularly at the end of last season, deputising for the injured Gabriel Magalhaes, but he may want to be a bonified starter given his lack of regular game time in the last 18 months. There has regularly been interest from Italy, and Arsenal may have a decision to make as they prepare to welcome another back-up centre-back this summer in Cristhian Mosquera.

Oleksandr Zinchenko

Zinchenko struggled mightily for game time last season, finding himself behind Riccardo Calafiori, Myles Lewis-Skelly and arguably Jurrien Timber at the left-back position. It’s clear that while the Ukrainian might not be a starter for Arsenal, he could comfortably be a starter for a top-half Premier League or top division club. He is likely to move on this season in an attempt to find such an opportunity.

Leandro Trossard

This one is a real question mark, and the biggest question mark on this list. Trossard played plenty of football last season, featuring in every single Premier League game. But with Noni Madueke incoming, it looks as though he will struggle to play out wide. He could be kept around as a back-up for Martin Odegaard, but Arteta didn’t seem convinced by the Belgian playing in that specific spot while Odegaard had ankle issues early in the season. It’s certainly possible that Arsenal swap out Trossard for another attacking midfielder before the summer is done.

Fabio Vieira

Vieira spent last season on loan with FC Porto and it’s unclear what his future holds, but he doesn’t seem to have convinced Arteta, and a departure is more likely. Vieira is now 25 years of age and Arsenal might just decide to call time on what looks to be a failed investment.

Reiss Nelson

Nelson did well with Fulham during a loan spell last season, and it’s reported that another loan could be possible, although Arsenal would be wise to include an option to buy this time - and perhaps an obligatory one. Nelson doesn’t look as though he will get a look in at Arsenal, so a departure of some sort is very likely.

Albert Sambi Lokonga

Lokonga spent time with Sevilla last season, making 22 league appearances during a disappointing campaign for the Andalusian side. Arsenal will almost certainly look to move Lokonga on this summer, and they will likely prefer to find a permanent deal after three loan deals.
