Saints RB Alvin Kamara 2025 player profile

Alvin Kamara is entering his ninth NFL season, all of which he’s spent with the [New Orleans Saints](https://www.canalstreetchronicles.com/). Despite the fact that he’s nearing the age of 30, which is when many say running backs start falling off, he hasn’t slowed down, and with arguably the best offensive line he’s had in recent years (if everything pans out), he could be in for a big season.

Here’s Alvin Kamara’s 2025 player profile:

**Alvin Kamara**

**Height**: 5-foot-10

**Weight**: 215-pounds

**Age**: 29

**College**: Tennessee

**Experience:** 8 years

**Accolades:** 2x All-Pro (2017, 2020), 5x [Pro Bowl](http://www.sbnation.com/nfl-pro-bowl) Selection (2017-2021), leads franchise in rushing yards (6,779), rushing TDs (60), total touchdowns (86), total yards from scrimmage (11,541), all-purpose yards (12,199) and first downs (573).

Since entering the NFL in 2017, Alvin Kamara has the second most yards from scrimmage and is one of just three players with over 11,000 yards during that span. He has been one of the most productive and reliable weapons in the league, and he’s still churning along at age 29.

Kamara has totaled over 1,000 yards in each of his eight NFL season, despite missing some time due to injury. His lowest yardage total came in 2023 when he rushed for 694 and added another 466 through the air (1,160 total), but he played just 13 games that season. The highest total of his career came in 2020 when he totaled 932 on the ground and 756 through the air (1,688 total).

Despite subpar offensive line and quarterback play and missing three games in 2024, Kamara still managed to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark, rushing for 950 yards (a career-high) on a 4.2 average and catching 68 passes for 543 yards. With guys like Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed missing time as well, Kamara was the only weapon defenses needed to hone in on for a large part of last season, and he was still very efficient.

I’m not here to tell you that Kamara is a top-5 running back in the league like he used to be. There are a ton of young guys out there who are in their prime and probably better weapons, but Kamara is a model of consistency and I don’t think there’s too many running backs in the league the Saints would want to have this year with a rookie quarterback and young offensive line.

Entering his ninth NFL season, Kamara looks to be the focal point of this offense once again. If he stays healthy, I fully expect him to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark for the ninth time in his career.
