The [Cincinnati Bengals](https://www.cincyjungle.com/) announced they are promoting three members of their front office to the position of assistant general manager.
Steven Radicevic and Mike Potts were formerly directors of scouting. Trey Brown, the team's senior personnel executive, has been one of the most sought-after names when general manager vacancies need to be filled around the league.
"Steve, Mike, and Trey work in all areas of the club and assist me in every aspect," [Duke Tobin said via Bengals.com](https://www.bengals.com/news/bengals-player-personnel-staff-2025). "They're highly capable. They're impactful in all areas of personnel. We felt like this title fit their role with us."
Tobin will remain director of player personnel. This raises the question of who they are assisting. In all seriousness, though, this is probably a nice way to help define where these individuals stand in terms of hierarchy.
The team also promoted Andrew Johnson, who has been a scout for the Northeast for a decade. He will be promoted from scout to executive scout. It appears they are putting him in charge of organizing the day-to-day operations of the department on top of his previous scouting duties.
This also comes on the heels of the team hiring Josh Hinch and Tyler Ramsey as scouts this offseason as well. They also added Trey LaBounty as a scouting research analyst, a position the team had not previously had.
The Bengals made a few additions to their scouting department, but it seems they are also hoping a shake-up of titles may help. We will have to wait and see.
