Super Bowl champ Bryan Braman spent last two weeks with young daughters before his death

Super Bowl champ Bryan Braman died of a rare and aggressive form of cancer on Thursday. He spent the last two weeks of his life with his children.

The 38-year-old former NFL player enjoyed his last moments spending quality time with the people who meant the most to him, his two daughters ages 11 and 8.

The linebacker “...spent the last to weeks with them when he was dying,” Braman’s agent Sean Stellano tells PEOPLE.

“He loved his two girls so, so much. They were everything, his legacy,” Stellano continued.

“I would say, a warrior in every sense, on the field and in life. He faced every battle with unshakable grit and heart. And his passing really leaves a void, not only in the football community, but in the spirit of really every underdog who ever had to fight to play this game of football,” the Bryan's agent and good friend told the outlet.

While reliving the moment the Eagles (the team Braman played for) won the Super Bowl, he remembers holding one of Braman’s “beautiful girls” while sharing a special moment with him on the field. “Him and I cried in each other’s arms when he won the Super Bowl LII on the field. And I was holding his daughter in a photo, which was really cool.”

Braman had been undergoing an intensive 12-week treatment in Seattle, which included multiple surgeries. He was diagnosed with cancer in February, according to a GoFundMe.

“I just want people to remember him as someone that was a staple for the underdog, but just so passionate in this game and giving back to people. He was just a real genuine, gentle giant off the field, but an absolute [] Tarzan on the field.”

Braman was 38.
