Quentin Johnston Has Embarrassing Moment At Training Camp

The Los Angeles Chargers had an interesting offseason on the heels of last year’s playoff run that ended poorly in the AFC Wild Card round.

The offense recently experienced some unforeseen changes, as wide receiver Mike Williams retired out of the blue, and running back Najee Harris is in an uncertain spot after a fireworks mishap on July 4.

To make matters worse, third-year receiver Quentin Johnston, who needs a big year to ease the loss of Williams, opened training camp with a brutal drop on the first day.

Yikes: Quentin Johnston with an AWFUL drop on the first day of training camp.

Year three and still can't catch a football 😔

Granted, it is the first day of camp, and this is what camp is for.

Hopefully, Johnston is just knocking off some rust and will continue to grow within this offense, though it makes sense why fans would be worried.

A first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, Johnston has struggled with drops and has made more headlines for what he hasn’t done as opposed to what he has.

The numbers improved last season, as he had 55 catches for 711 receiving yards and eight touchdowns after stepping into a more prominent role following the departures of Williams and Keenan Allen as free agents.

Now, the expectation is that Johnston will be able to become the primary receiver the Chargers drafted him to be.

Fans will be watching closely if he can put this drop behind him and have a strong camp.
