Evanilson opened the scoring after five minutes, and Bournemouth limited Spurs to few chances in what was a dominant defence display from the Dorset side.
The Daily Echo rates the Cherries in their victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
**Djordje Petrovic: 7**
The keeper only had one shot on target to deal with – and it was straight at him. He was good at coming for crosses and controlled his box well as Spurs lacked a real threat in attack.
**Adrien Truffert: 8**
The Frenchman looks mature at left back and produced another good display since arriving at the Cherries earlier in the summer. A threat going forward too, he kept Mohammed Kudus quiet all afternoon.
**Marcos Senesi: 9**
My man of the match. Imperious at the back, seemingly not letting anything through him and also picking up an assist with a brilliant pass to pick out Evanilson’s diagonal run.
**Bafode Diakite: 8**
Like Senesi, a big performance from the new man at centre back. Diakite seems to have settled in quickly and the partnership between him and Senesi appears to be growing each week, the pair keeping Richarlison quiet.
**Adam Smith: 6**
The right back was solid for the first 25 minutes but was forced off through injury.
**Tyler Adams: 8**
The American has made an excellent start to the season, and continued that in London. He was everywhere in midfield, breaking up the Spurs attacks and disrupting the hosts at every occasion.
**Alex Scott: 7**
A good showing from the Englishman, performing well defensively and also contributing going forward.
**Antoine Semenyo: 7**
Semenyo was good – he was on eggshells at times after an early booking that was a bit needless, not backing away from the ball for a Spurs free kick, but he was threatening going forward. Possibly should have scored with his head from a brilliant David Brooks cross but headed over.
**Marcus Tavernier: 7**
Tavernier was guilty of missing a couple of decent chances but was overall decent, as energetic as ever in the press.
**David Brooks: 8**
The Welshman continues his fine form so far this season, and was a brilliant attacking outlet, particularly in the first half. As mentioned, he should have picked up an assist had Semenyo scored with his head, but all in all an excellent performance.
**Evanilson: 8**
The Brazilian got himself off the mark for the season with a well-taken goal – perhaps fortunate with the deflection but he did all of the hard work with a trademark diagonal run. Otherwise, he was excellent in the press as usual, leading from the front.
**Substitutes:**
**James Hill: 7**
Hill was good off the bench, as the Cherries limited Spurs to few chances.
**Ryan Christie: 7**
**Amine Adli: 6**
**Junior Kroupi: 6**
**Justin Kluivert: 6**
