Nottingham Forest set to sign John Victor
Nuno Espírito Santo has been keen to add a more competitive back-up for Matz Sels in goal for Forest, and he has landed on Brazilian John Victor as his solution.
Victor is expected to complete his Forest medical imminently to confirm his move from Botafogo, joining Igor Jesus and Jair Cunha who have already made the move from the Brazilian side.
However, the Reds aren’t finished doing business with John Textor’s side just yet, with their interest in Cuiabano reignited.
Cuiabano could be next for Nottingham Forest
Forest signed Nicolo Savona to bolster the right-back role, but the Reds are still looking to strengthen on the opposite side, too.
The club have turned to Botafogo man Cuiabano as their preferred option for the position, having previously been close to signing the left-back alongside Jesus and Cunha.
Reports in Brazil have claimed that Forest have agreed a deal with Botafogo for Cuiabano, with personal terms still to be agreed for the 22-year-old.

Nottingham Forest make bid for Lee Kang-In
The final piece of the puzzle for Forest could well be another option out wide. Dilane Bakwa has been a target for Forest for a number of weeks, but another Ligue 1 star could now be an alternative to the Strasbourg winger.

According to reports in France, Forest have made a £26m bid for Lee Kang-In in an ambitious move before deadline day for the Champions League winner.
The South Korean international was an unused substitute in PSG’s 6-3 win over Toulouse which suggests that he may well be available before the end of the window, making the pursuit one to watch.
