Tim Sherwood says £25m Everton star is to thank for Grealish and Ndiaye success vs Wolves

David Moyes has brought the feel-good factor back to Everton, as the Toffees have a new-look attack.

Two wins out of the first three games, and the Toffees are making this Premier League business look easy.

Moyes and The Friedkin Group’s work over the summer is paying off, as Jack Grealish has been superb, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall looks a ‘breath of fresh air’.

They’ve spent the money needed, and now the project at Everton is looking a lot more exciting.

But the brilliance of the new recruits has had a major help from one man after the win against Wolves, according to Tim Sherwood.

Tim Sherwood says Beto is helping Jack Grealish and Iliman Ndiaye at Everton

The connection that the Toffees’ wingers have is flawless, as Grealish knew he and Iliman Ndiaye would shine.

However, not all the plaudits can be given to the wide men, as speaking on Sky Sports after the victory for the Blues, Sherwood said how important Beto was in the encounter at Molineux.

“I can’t leave Beto out of it, because Beto occupies the centre-halves, he pins the two back so Ndiaye and Grealish can come in from both sides,” Sherwood said.

“They played some very entertaining football.”

Grealish obviously supplied Beto for the opener and his first of the Premier League season, but the way the 27-year-old uses his strength goes under the radar.

This looks like a recipe for success at Everton this campaign, as Moyes is bringing back the old school feel to the Blues.

Although Beto was brilliant, the beauty of this tactic is that the Everton boss can rely on two options.

David Moyes has the perfect system with Beto and Thierno Barry at Everton

Beto was class against Wolves, and getting on the scoresheet helps as well.

With the striker proving to be more useful off-the-ball, this only helps bring Ndiaye and Grealish into the game, and the forward proved to be a menace for Wolves’ defence.

The Guinea-Bissau international isn’t on his own doing this role though, as Thierry Henry was impressed with Thierno Barry’s strength.

This can leave Moyes with the choice to alternate between his two options, as both can provide a massive use in helping players around them.

Goals might not be flowing for the two strikers, but you can bet they will be a handful for the opposition this season.
