Ola Aina tells Callum Hudson-Odoi what he should do more often at Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest play West Ham United today, and there has been some big Callum Hudson-Odoi news prior to the contest.

Hudson-Odoi has extended his stay at the City Ground by another two years, taking him to 2028, and it represents a positive step in the right direction.

Forest signed Hudson-Odoi for just £3 million and he’s been a revelation since checking in, reviving his own career and helping the Reds stabilise as a Premier League club.

Hudson-Odoi scored his first goal of the 2025/26 campaign last week in a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace and it’s great to see him hit the ground running.

Ola Aina shares what Callum Hudson-Odoi needs to do more

After Hudson-Odoi had been announced as signing a new contract with Forest, the club decided to get Ola Aina to quiz him on the new deal.

In some wholesome content, the best friends chatted about Forest and Hudson-Odoi’s time at the club, with Aina in no doubt as to what the 24-year-old should be doing more often.

Speaking on Hudson-Odoi when it comes to scoring goals, he said: “Hopefully we can see you score many goals as well, as we know he got his first against Palace, he’s off the mark, and hopefully he can get many more, and I think he needs to get more, he can do, and that will win us trophies at the end of the day.”

Hudson-Odoi will grow at Forest

After falling down the pecking order at Chelsea, Hudson-Odoi’s next move was always going to be a big one, especially after a frustrating spell with Bayer Leverkusen on loan.

In Steve Cooper, Forest had a manager who knew Hudson-Odoi very well and perhaps the former boss was the trump card when it came to him actually signing terms at the City Ground.

Hudson-Odoi has scored some very big goals for Forest and perhaps it’s not unfair for Aina to suggest that the player could score more in the future.

The winger has played 72 games for Forest, scoring 14 goals and claiming 20 assists and with Europe on the cards this season, it will be fascinating to see what the team can now achieve with Hudson-Odoi tied to a new contract.
