Everton fans have fallen into the trap of falling in love with a loan player, and it’s hard not to after Jack Grealish’s start.
It’s been a brilliant beginning for David Moyes’ side in the Premier League, as Everton have won two of their three opening games.
The Toffees put in a solid display against Wolves, as the 3-2 scoreline is probably flattering for the home side, as the Blues were dominant throughout.
With their new-look attack, Everton have some ‘arrogance’ about their football this season, as Grealish is the heart of it.
There is a blossoming connection between the fanbase and the winger, and what happened after the game brought an excellent response from the 29-year-old.

The likeable character that is Grealish is already rubbing off on the Evertonians after three games.
Four assists in two starts helps that, as Grealish is already making Everton history, with a big campaign ahead for the winger.
After the victory, the 29-year-old got involved with the celebrations, and speaking to journalist Dominic King, the on-loan Man City fan had a funny thing to say about the Toffees’ support grabbing him.

“It was like a UFC chokehold! Bless them, it was unbelievable,” Grealish said.
“What can I say? That’s what it’s about – that’s what you want from fans.’
The relationship is already looking very strong, and Grealish thinks he’s playing with more freedom, and the supporters’ backing surely helps.
But even though it’s only been three games, the fans might only want one thing.

It’s early days, and there is no need to get carried away, but this form proves that the winger could have a revolutionary season on Merseyside.
His performance against Wolves added to his excellence against Brighton, with The Friedkin Group looking like geniuses for making this move.

As tempting as this is after his explosive start, time will tell if this is the correct choice, but he’s certainly going the right way about it.
