Lawrence Dority was sentenced to life in prison for murder of former Orlando Magic and Panathinaikos player Adreian Payne.
Adreian Payne was a former NBA and EuroLeague forward, and an alumni of Michigan State.

Three years ago, Payne was murdered in Orlando, Florida by Lawrence Dority.
Dority and Payne were in Dority's residence with their girlfriends, who were friends, when a disagreement between the two happened.
Mother of Payne's child, Tara Walker was present, and urged for harshest sentence for Dority.
Even though Payne was unarmed, Dority kept claiming that he did it to protect his family.
In the end, Dority was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Adreian Payne.
After the sentence, Dority accused Tara Walker of lying, and his family doesn't agree with the sentence.
"I know Lawrence is not an aggressor. He’s not and personally it just does not make sense why Tara would ask her boyfriend to come to my brother’s house without permission," Dority's sister told to News 6 Orlando.
