Newcastle United have opened talks to sign Roma striker Artem Dovbyk ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline, journalist Alan Nixon has reported.
The St James’ Park side are eyeing further reinforcements to their attacking options following Nick Woldemade’s arrival and have identified Dovbyk as a potential target.
Newcastle are reportedly keen on signing the 'spectacular' Ukraine international on an initial loan with a view to making the move permanent, with Roma open to parting ways with the 28-year-old in the final two days of the summer window.
This is a developing story, more to follow.
