Fresh Jorgen Strand Larsen update issued that will worry Wolves fans amid Newcastle transfer…

It is the saga that just won’t go away, but Jorgen Strand Larsen to Newcastle remains in the news.

Wolves have been clear they will not sell Strand Larsen, but the Geordies are still desperate to add another striker after signing Nick Woltemade.

There is not long left in the transfer window and the Old Gold would have little time to replace their star man.

The forthcoming arrival of Tolu Arokodare is not linked to a move away for the Norwegian.

When Vitor Pereira clarified if Strand Larsen would stay, and the Toon signed another centre-forward, that was meant to be the end of the speculation.

However, there is yet another update and Wolves fans will not like it.

No matter how hard Wolves try to reiterate their stance on Jorgen Strand Larsen, the reports about a move away keep popping up.

Jeff Shi may have told Strand Larsen he must stay, but trust in the ownership at the Old Gold is not high.

MORE WOLVES STORIES

As long as Strand Larsen to Newcastle remains in the headlines, Wolves fans will certainly be worried their star striker could leave.

And now another update on Newcastle’s pursuit has emerged. Despite signing Nick Woltemade, Eddie Howe is still in the market for another striker, according to journalist Craig Hope.

The information from Hope says that Newcastle are currently priced out of a move for Yoane Wissa, and are ‘still trying for Jorgen Strand Larsen.’

Newcastle have already sent two offers to Wolves for the striker, and a third bid was expected to come in. However, that bid has yet to arrive as of Sunday morning.

With not long left of the window, Newcastle’s pursuit could start to heat up again, and that would leave Fosun with an important decision to make.

Fosun need to hold firm and not go back on their word

Fosun have already made their stance on Strand Larsen public and going back on their word would create a further sense of distrust and frustration with their ownership.

They have been poor in the transfer market, and have left a lot of key deals to the last few days of the window.

Wolves have lost three games in a row, and it is starting to look like a long and difficult season for the Old Gold.

Jorgen Strand Larsen’s quality is one saving grace for Vitor Pereira’s side and their chances of staying in the Premier League.

There is no time to replace him, and Fosun know that. But whether they can hold firm and reject any incoming offers, no matter what is put on the table, still remains to be seen.

They must keep their word.
