Aston Villa secure £1million deal for Aberdeen youngster Fletcher Boyd

Fletcher Boyd is set to depart Aberdeen in a £1million deal with Aston Villa ahead of Monday's transfer deadline.

The teenager has made just three appearances for the Dons this season after breaking into the side under Peter Leven at the end of the 2023/24 campaign.

Premier League side Villa now look set to end his stay at Pittodrie however after agreeing a fee for the 17-year-old, with a number of add-ons included, reports Record Sport.

The Scotland youth international travelled down to Aston Villa's training ground at Bodymoor Heath on Saturday, with his medical set to the finalised today.

Personal terms have also been agreed, with Boyd now set to land a significant wage rise from what he was on at Pittodrie.

If his medical goes without any hitches then the 17-year-old will put pen to paper on his move to the West Midlands.

The Birmingham club is no stranger to snapping up young Scottish talent having previously signed Rory Wilson from Rangers, Aidan Borland from Celtic, and Kerr Smith from Dundee United.
