Player to join Bournemouth after Tiago Pinto finalises deal – Details of transfer explained

Two days ago, MilanNews reported AC Milan’s Álex Jiménez has decided to make a switch to AFC Bournemouth.

On Saturday, we covered claims from Italy that the Cherries have made advances to sign the fullback for an overall package of €22m. It was also reported there’s a gap of €2m between the two clubs.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports Bournemouth have found an agreement with Milan for the 20-year-old’s transfer.

The Spaniard is saying goodbye to the Rossoneri as he’ll soon join Andoni Iraola’s side on loan with an option to buy, which will be converted into an obligation if he makes certain number of appearances.

According to Di Marzio, the loan fee is around €1.5m and the purchase option/obligation is set at €18.5m.

Bournemouth, led by their managing director Tiago Pinto, have finalised the deal with the Rossoneri and are waiting for the defender.

Over at Calciomercato, they also report Jiménez is leaving the San Siro for the Premier League club.

It’s claimed he’s ready to join Bournemouth, who are signing him on loan with a purchase option set at €25m. The figure quoted is different to the one reported by Di Marzio.

According to Calciomercato, Bournemouth have to make Jiménez’s loan move permanent if he makes 15 appearances.
