“Do not expect” | ExWHUEmployee | Lucas Paqueta & Transfer Update

**West Ham want to keep Lucas Paqueta desire uncertainty regarding his future, with ExWHUEmployee providing an update.**

It’s been a somewhat chaotic 24 hours in east London, with the news coming out that Nayef Aguerd has refused to travel to Nottingham Forest game today as he looks to force a move to Marseille.

This has been confirmed by Ex to be the case, with an update on the state of play surrounding his future expected.

Reporting on The West Ham Way Podcast, Ex has said the club hold interest in both Charlie Cresswell and Taylor Harwood-Bellis, should Aguerd depart.

This was then followed by the news which was circulating surrounding Lucas Paqueta, who had been reported to be close to moving to Aston Villa.

Despite the news claiming this to be close, this has been dismissed by the club. Our insider Ex provided an update on The West Ham Way Patreon, although there is still much uncertainty.

At this stage the club remain adamant that the player is to remain at West Ham this summer. However, doubts remain whether the club will stay firm on this should the right bid be received.

“I do believe if a substantial offer comes in it could still be accepted but time will tell,” stated Ex.

“A further club source has confirmed that they do not expect to sell Lucas Paqueta this window. So let’s hope we can trust their word.”

In other news, it’s understood that Andy Irving is set for a £4m move to Wrexham, while the club remain confident that Tomas Soucek will remain at the club despite interest from Everton.

Emerson looks set to finally move on from the club this summer, with £1m move to Marseille close to completion.
