Danny Murphy was absolutely blown away by one Everton star in Wolves win - it's not Jack…

After a disappointing defeat to Leeds United on the opening day of the season, Everton have bounced back with two wins on the trot.

David Moyes was keen to put right the result at Leeds, and his side have certainly done that with consecutive Premier League wins against Brighton and Wolves.

Everton went ahead in the clash through Beto, who headed home yet another quality pass from Jack Grealish.

Iliman Ndiaye added the second after good work from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and then the former Chelsea star got on the scoresheet himself with a brilliant left-footed half-volley just before the hour mark.

Speaking on BBC Match of the Day, Danny Murphy waxed lyrical about the Everton attack and said one player was even better than Grealish.

Danny Murphy blown away by Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in Everton win

Former Liverpool midfielder turned pundit Danny Murphy hailed Everton through gritted teeth on Match of the Day.

Murphy admitted he loved watching their attack and was particularly impressed by Dewsbury-Hall.

“It’s not just Jack (Grealish), I mean Dewsbury-Hall had his best game today by a mile… he was terrific. Ndiaye… who’s already there obviously, but he’s been brilliant since the minute he got to Everton and Beto was a handful.

Murphy continued: “This is where Dewsbury-Hall is really clever, those little intricate passes…Dewsbury-Hall deserves great credit because I thought he was the best player on the pitch.”

What Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall said after Everton win

Speaking to Premier League productions, Dewsbury-Hall admitted it was a ‘whirlwind’ game in the West Midlands.

“A whirlwind of a game. All three goals were fantastic moves. Really happy with the win but not happy with how hard we made it at the end. But overall a great three points.”

He also discussed the connection he’s formed with Ndiaye and Grealish: “Really good. They are both fantastic lads. Everyone knows Jack is quality but Ili is a top player. And playing with him you see how good he is. It is a nice feeling having players like that around you.”

In this window in particular, the £28m Everton shelled out on Dewsbury-Hall looks like a fantastic piece of business and potentially one of the best signings of the summer.
