Nottingham Forest switch transfer attention as 'concrete target' emerges in Spain

Nottingham Forest are claimed to have switched their attention to Sevilla’s Dodi Lukébakio before Monday’s transfer deadline, according to reports from Belgium and Spain.

Belgian transfer specialist Sacha Tavolieri took to X to report the Reds have decided to focus on the 27-year-old right winger, after giving up on Dilane Bakwa. He won’t be leaving RC Strasbourg for Nottingham Forest.

Tavolieri says Lukébakio is considered a “concrete target” for the Premier League club and Sevilla are “awaiting the offer” from the English side.

Meanwhile, Sunday’s edition of ABC Sevilla states Antonio Cordón, the La Liga club’s sporting director, is “pulling strings” to sell one of his stars. The focus is on the 27-year-old, who is a target for Nottingham Forest. Benfica are also considering whether he can be a good fit for them.

The newspaper reports the Belgium international has a high release clause, but Sevilla would accept a €30m bid, despite his release clause being €45. The player is open to leaving as long as he moves to a top league.

The Premier League attracts him, so does playing in the Champions League, which Benfica can offer.

Vamos Mi Sevilla FC reports Cordón is already negotiating with Benfica, who could face challenge from Nottingham Forest.

It’s claimed Forest have ‘entered the bidding’ for the winger in the last few hours. Due to the Andalusian club’s need to raise funds to carry out more signings, the report explains they are willing to accept an offer around €30m.
