There is a chance that Manchester United attacker Jadon Sancho could join Aston Villa on loan with Emiliano Martinez heading the other way, according to The Times journalist Charlotte Duncker.
The Red Devils want the Villa goalkeeper, and the Midlands club could agree a deal with Man United, which would see the English forward move to the Villa Park club.
Sancho is out of favour at the Old Trafford club as head coach Ruben Amorim is not a fan, but getting the 25-year-old out of the way has proven tricky.
A move to the Midlands on loan could now be on the cards, and Villa manager Unai Emery could be open to the deal given his dire need for attacking reinforcements.
Sancho joined Man United from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for £73 million (€85m) but has failed to impress.
He spent last term on loan with Chelsea, notching five goals and ten assists in 41 appearances to help the Blues win the UEFA Conference League.
Chelsea opted against signing him permanently, but Villa could consider the option should he impress if he joins them.
The Villans are open to loan deals and signing free agents right now as a fine from UEFA for breaching Financial Fair Plays rules has left them with no choice.
Sancho is not the only player who could be swapping Manchester for the Midlands, with former Red Devils defender Victor Lindelof also expected to join Villa on a free signing.
